The 2025 KIA Sportage will use a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 187 Horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. which will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and front- or all-wheel drive. During our initial test drive, we tried both the regular four-cylinder and the hybrid powertrain, and we were more impressed with the latter.

How’s the performance? At our test track, the non-hybrid Sportage took 8.6 seconds to reach 60 mph, compared to 7.4 seconds for the hybrid. The Sportage sits on a redesigned platform with a longer wheelbase than the previous generation, resulting in increased ride comfort.
How’s the Real World MPG? We estimate the 2025 Sportage is rated at 25 mpg city and 32 mpg highway with front-wheel drive; The all-wheel-drive variant is rated for 23 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. On a fuel-efficient 75 mph route, the all-wheel-drive Sportage X-Pro Prestige returned 31 mpg.

What is the Launch Date? Kia has not officially confirmed the release date for the 2025 Sportage. As we all know, after 2023, they do not overhaul any models. We expect them to ship the new model by the end of 2025, as expected, but there’s no exact timetable yet. Although they lack many modifications available, the seats have great support and an appropriate amount of cushioning in all the right spots. The front seats provide ventilation and heating options if you choose the higher trim levels, and the upholstery is sturdy but not elegant. This lets the Sportage cope with bumps and broken pavement well, but it might lead to its tendency to bob up and down more awkwardly when the route is undulating.
