How is the fuel efficiency? The all-wheel-drive variants are rated at 87 MPGe combined, while the standard rear-wheel-drive ZDX is rated at 90 MPGe. Underperforming its 80 MPGe highway rating, the ZDX Type S only managed 68 MPGe in our real-world 75 mph highway fuel-economy test.

What about Comfort
Comfort-wise, both front seats in the 2026 ZDX are comfortable, with ample side bolstering. The heated seats are quick and provide a soothing warmth, and the automatic climate control system has no trouble keeping the temperature you choose. There are some hard plastics on the driver’s side, near the center console, which may be problematic for taller drivers on long drives. Legroom in the second seat is substantial, and headroom is adequate — only the tallest passengers are likely to feel constrained. The rear seat is a little flat, and only the Type S comes with heated seats.
