How’s the Powertrain? Volvo will offer the 2025 EX30 with two different powerplant options. The Single Motor Extended Range variant will use a 268 horsepower electric motor on the rear wheels. The available Dual Motor Performance variant will have a second electric motor producing up to 422 horsepower. The dual-motor variant will be capable of accelerating to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds. All EX30 SUVs will be equipped with a 64 kWh battery capable of providing a range of up to 275 miles in RWD variants and 265 miles with AWD. With a charging capacity of up to 153 kW, the EX30 can charge 10 to 80% in about 30 minutes.

How is the battery life? All EX30 variants are equipped with a 64.0 kWh battery, which Volvo says is large enough to allow rear-wheel drive vehicles to travel up to 275 kilometers on a single charge. The all-wheel-drive type is estimated to be capable of a range of 265 miles per charge, and both can be charged using a DC fast charging connection with a maximum charging speed of 153 kW.

How is the interior? To reduce environmental impact, the 2025 EX30’s interior is made entirely from recycled materials. One of these is the dash lining, which uses recycled denim waste, while other options include hemp-stitched inners and recycled polyester wool alternatives. The cabin is relatively basic, consistent with Volvo’s Scandinavian design ethos, but with some new changes. The EX30’s glovebox, for example, has been repositioned to the center of the dashboard, below the infotainment screen, making it easier for the driver to access.
